Driving with a smile

It has been a hectic few weeks as our clientele has increased which meant our instructors were kept busy from early morning till late at night. I subsequently had little time to update our blog as well. So today i have decided to share a joke which i found hilarious. It was sent to me by one of my best friends who works for the traffic department. Thanks Valmont!

Cop says: “License please.”
Taxi driver says: “What for?”
Cop: “You didn’t come to a complete stop at the stop sign.”

Taxi driver: “I slowed down, and no one was coming.”

Cop: “You still didn’t come to a complete stop. License please.”

Taxi driver: “What’s the difference?”

Cop: “The difference is you have to come to a complete stop, that’s the law. License please!”

Taxi driver: “Heish …. if you can show me the difference between slow down and stop, I’ll give you my license and you give me the ticket, if not you let me go and no ticket.”

Cop says: “Exit your vehicle, sir.”

The taxi driver gets out of his taxi, whereupon the cop takes out his truncheon and starts beating the daylight out of the taxi driver and

says:

“you want me to stop or just slow down?”

EISH, DIE COP HY EXPLAIN BAIE MOOI!

Have fun out there, be safe and buckle up!

The way we drive

We as driving instructors spend more time on the road than your average road user. Our day usually starts at 07H00 and ends when we drop our last client at home which is about 19H00 depending on the weather.

We get to see all sorts of funny and scary things on the road and sometimes we have to ask ourselves how that person got to drive. Realistically speaking, there are a lot of unlicensed drivers on the road and most of this is due to the long waiting period for a driver’s appointment. There are also people out there who are tired of failing. They then just go out on the road and drive.

The issue is not so much about them as there are many competent people who do not have a license but drive just as good as or even better than a licensed driver. There are those who also obtained licenses illegally and are not competent to operate a vehicle. We as driving instructors therefore need to be training and preparing our clients not only to pass the drivers test, but also to be able to survive out there!

Let’s be careful out there!
