Western Cape Testing Stations

The way Testing stations should test learner drivers should all be the same. There should be a set standard so you know whether you go to Atlantis or Milnerton, the examiner will mark you the same. We all know that this is not the case however. Statistics prove that at some testing stations, your chance to pass is much better than others.

Let us take Goodwood for example. Rumor is that you have an 80% chance of failing there, whether it is in the yard or on the road. We therefore always advise our clients to avoid Goodwood as far as possible. The same was said about Milnerton, but this however has changed. The examiners there have in many cases showed their human side. It is a simple fact that when learners go for their test they are extremely nervous. In almost all our cases, clients only failed because of this.

We as a driving school set our standards very high when we prepare someone for their drivers test. We prepare them with mock tests to ensure they are as ready as can be. It is however the examiners of the day that decides whether you pass or not. Some examiners are very nice and try to calm the learners. Others are just the opposite and seem to prey on the learner’s nervous state. When this happens, learner’s usually loose concentration and their legs turn to jelly.

I would like to hear about your experience with examiners at the testing stations out there, good or bad. I am sure there are many stories to share. To the examiners, I am sure that what you are doing is sometimes difficult and I need to commend you on that. You folks are doing a great job. Sometimes however, all our clients are asking for is a smile and to re-assure them that they will do just fine. Knowing this, the nerves and worries will just disappear.

Have a great day!

Yours truly,

The Driving Coach, the best thing since sliced cheese!

Who says driving instruction is hard work!

Armed with a camera, a car and a client, we go out training learner drivers the K53 way. Some say it is hard work and you need nerves of steel and lots of patience. Patience is needed yes, but for the rest i somehow disagree.

Our aim at the Driving Coach is to make learning to drive as easy and as much fun as possible. Yes, driving on our roads at times is challenging . But by simply changing ones attitude towards it can be very rewarding. Our aim is to make a difference out there, hence our slogan ”changing the world one driver at a time”.

You just have to look at our picture gallery to see how what we do and how much fun our clients have. There are times when we are very serious and focus on parking and then there are times when we just sit back a few seconds to appreciate the view.

So come on, book with us to see what we are all about. I can assure you, you will wonder why you even bothered with the driving schools out there.

The Driving Coach Cape Town. To be seen in a parking area near you!
